2021 saw many weddings. From common people to Bollywood biggies like Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal; India witnessed numerous big fat weddings this year. Starting from January, the Bengali TV enjoyed a wedding fever too. There were many big fat Indian weddings. The bride and groom didn't forget to look best on their special day. Most of the brides chose ‘Laal Benarasi saree’ (red Banarasi saree), ‘Chandan’, heavy jewellery for their ‘D day’, while some wore designer lehenga-choli too; but quintessential artistic sensibility was evident in the designs. Trina Saha

Trina-Neel’s wedding was indeed a big-fat affair. The Bengali television industry has hardly seen such a gala wedding which was equally extravagant like a sequence in a movie. From engagement to Mehendi, Trina and Neel never missed making heads turn with their fashion choice. The beautiful bride wore a red Banarasi saree with beautiful zari work, traditional jewellery, silk veil and a nath. The Dulhe raja looked equally handsome in ‘Dhuti Punjabi’ and a bright smile on his face. The wedding was attended by many celebrities and renowned personalities. Mimi Dutta

Mimi Dutta found her happily ever after in bae Om Sahani. After having a registry wedding in 2020, the duo had a traditional Bengali wedding this year in February. Mimi looked every bit gorgeous in her bridal avatar. Red Banarasi saree, heavy gold ornament and an equally beautiful silk veil made Mimi look stunning. She chose traditional gold ornaments for her big day. There were a few surprises at her wedding. The wedding was performed following Vaidik rituals, female Purohit chanted mantras while Rabindrasangeet was played in the mandap. Interestingly, while Om put a sindoor on Mimi’s forehead, the bride too put a tilak on the forehead of her hubby. The wedding was attended by many celebrities from Tollywood including Rachna Banerjee, Manali Manisha Dey and her hubby Abhimanyu Mukherjee.
