Rahul Dev Bose bags a meaty role in ‘Prothoma Kadambini’
Actor Rahul Dev Bose is excited about his first period-drama. The actor, who has been a part of popular TV show ‘Bajlo Tomar Alor Benu’, ‘Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay’ and others, has recently joined the cast of ‘Prothoma Kadambini’.
“I am quite excited about Prothoma Kadambini. This is my first period-drama,” he said. Today is the second day of his shoot and Rahul is enjoying it. “Yesterday, I shot for the introductory sequence. The entire team is quite helpful. Right from our director to my co-stars Honey and Solanki, everyone is helpful. They never made me feel that I have just joined,” Rahul says.
The show is based on Dr. Kadambini Ganguly’s life, starring Solanki Roy and Honey Bafna playing the lead characters.
Rahul shared that he met Honey during an award ceremony and instantly bonded. He knew Solanki from his student life. “This is the first time I am working with them. But I knew Solanki for years. We went to the same university. It was more of cherishing old memories when I met her on the set. On the other hand, I met Honey and Krushal (Ahuja) for the first time during an award ceremony. We sat together during the function and had a good chat then. Interestingly, I worked with Krushal in Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay and now I'm working with Honey,” Rahul stated.
When asked whether he has to speak ‘Bangal Bhasa’ in the show, witty Rahul added, “Thankfully, I don’t have to speak Bangal Bhasa. On the shootings set, I am noticing people who are working hard to get the correct pronunciation.” He laughed while sharing.
Rahul also shared that he is facing the camera after 6 months post-lockdown. “This is quite an experience for me. Things have really changed on the shooting set due to the pandemic. We have to take care of many minute things before and after shot,” said the actor
