From Tandra to Bishan: 7 Baddies who spiced up Ke Apon Ke Por’s story

Is it even a game if there are no googlies, speed breakers and a good competitor? Well, the same formula applies for daily soaps too. To hook the audience to the TV screen, every script has an adarsh bahu or beta or sometimes both who can sacrifice everything for the family and a series of unfortunate events on their way making the journey a bed of thorns. But who works as the catalyst behind all these ‘unfortunate events’? Of course a crooked mind, without whose presence there will be no fun in watching TV drama. While most of the TV shows have one or two or three baddies to deal with, ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’ has many in its 4 years of journey. From Tandra, Sanjay to the latest addition, Bishan, here are some baddies who spiced up the story of ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’. (Photo: Facebook)

Tandra Sengupta

Ke Apon Ke Por’s story is about protagonist Joba, who used to work in Sengupta household as a domestic help. She continues her education after marrying Param, the youngest son of the household. Param helps Joba fulfil her dream and become a lawyer. But wait, things aren’t easy in the world of daily soaps, especially when it has a person like Tandra Sengupta. The perfect blend of beauty with brain, Tandra is the arch-rival of Joba. From abusing her to stealing her baby, manipulating Joba’s daughter Koel, Tandra has done it all. In these 4 years of journey, Tandra kept the story interesting with her conspiracies. She got arrested several times, escaped the jail, fooled everyone sitting on the wheelchair, faked her death, and had plastic surgery too just to enter the household again! Every time, the makers want to spice up the story, Tandra makes an entry in a new and revamped avatar. The role was earlier played by actress Monalisa Paul but now Bulbuli Panja is playing Tandra. Well, ‘Ke Apon Ke Por’ is incomplete without Tandra and her patent dialogue ‘Ebar Tui Ki Korbi Joba’! (Photo: Facebook)

Lalita

Lalita is Tandra’s mother. Well, she is one step ahead when it comes to crookedness as Lalita doesn’t hesitate to change her colour and abandon even her daughter if there is any chance of getting caught. She played a crucial part in almost every plan hatched by Tandra. She lived with Param’s family only to make their lives miserable. It was Lalita, who spread the fake news of her daughter’s death, to help her (Tandra) get inside the household once again. Actress Reshmi Sen plays Lalita. (Photo: Facebook)

Sanjay

Sanjan is completely loyal to Tandra. He might be Palak’s brother but works for Tandra and executed all her plans while she was inside the jail. He considers Joba as his arch-rival after she busted his human trafficking racket. From petty crimes like stealing money, to gruesome ones like planting a bomb at Kuhu’s school, he did it all. Every time, Tandra took a disguise, he changed his avatar too. Actor Arindya Banerjee plays Sanjay's character.

Saheli Chowdhury

Rinki’s mom and Tinni’s mother-in-law Saheli is rich and influential. She can go to any extent for the sake of her children. Saheli has her crooked ways to get things done. What’s more? She never liked Joba and conspired against the family to get Rinki married to Sarthak. Later, she got her daughter Rinki married to Tanna only to seek revenge. Post-wedding, she kept Palak on her toes, tried to control Joba's household in every possible way. Her conflict with Joba saw its peak when Tanna and Rinki were sent to jail for running over poor pedestrians. Actress Saon Dey plays Saheli's character. (Photo: Facebook)

Aritra

Joba, who always fights for justice, had some old rivalry with Aritra’s dad, whom she had sent jail while she was abroad. Aritra's dad was accused of abusing a lady. Artira was a kid when his dad was sent to jail. After several years, Aritra came to India seek revenge and punish Joba. He took up a fake identity, stayed with Joba’s family, tried to woo Koel and abducted Kuhu. Joba had to face several googlies from him before he was caught. But no doubt, Aritra’s presence added some extra masala to the story. Actor Anshu Bach played Aritra. (Photo: Facebook)

Swapnamay

A doctor by profession, Swapnamay used to like Joba and her innocence until she came into his way. Swapnamay changed over the years to make his wife Mayuri happy and eventually became greedy. He started running an organ-trafficking racket and framed Anu’s husband Rahul for the crime instead. Joba fought for Rahul and sent Swapnamay to jail which started a rivalry. Later, Swapnamay joined hands with Tandra and forced Sarthak to go against the law. Joba and her family had to suffer a lot due to this. Thanks to Tandra-Swapnamay's conspiracy, the show featured a high-voltage drama with the twist of Sarthak's fake death. Actor Anirban Ghosh plays Swapnamay's role. (Photo: Facebook)

Bishan

He is wicked! Surya's cousin brother Bishan is probably one of the most crooked enemies Joba has ever met. He is a complete psychopath and a cold-blooded murderer who killed a few girls, just because they were wearing short dresses and went out late at night. Bishan doesn't believe in gender equality. He declared a direct battle with Joba and Koel after they schooled him during an argument. Bishan abducts Surya right before his marriage and forcefully marries Koel. Post-lockdown, Ke Apon Ke Por’s story has taken an interesting turn, thanks to Bishan and his plans. Pretty soon, his dad will be seen making an entry. What’s more interesting is, Bishan’s dad has some old connection with Joba. Actor Sudip Sarkar plays the character. (Photo: Facebook)
