From Rezwan to Adrija: Here’s what our TV actors wish to do if they were Santa Claus

Well, with the chill in the wind and warmth of festive season, Christmas is finally here. And what is Christmas without Santa Claus. Be it children or adults, everyone needs a Santa Claus in real lives, if not for presents, at least to share their deepest desires to get fulfilled. We asked Bengali television actors, what would be their gifts if they get a chance to be Santa Claus. Some wanted to spread smile and food among all, while some actors want use the magical powers of Santa to set everything right. (Photo: Facebook)

Rezwan Rabbani Sheikh:

The handsome actor, who is playing a visually challenged individual in ‘Sanjher Baati’, had a prompt answer. Rezwan spontaneously said, “I will bring smile to all faces. A smile that always lasts.” His voice sounded bright as he shared his plan of spreading happiness among everyone. (Photo: Facebook)

Sweta Bhattacharya:

When we asked Sweta, she took some time to think. She said, “Someone has asked me this for the first time. Let me think.” Then the doting daughter added, “If I were Santa Claus, I will fulfil my parents’ dreams. I’m here because of my parents. So whatever they want I would fulfil that,” says Sweta.

Annwesha Hazra:

The young actress loved the idea of stepping into Santa’s shoes in real life. She said, "If I get a chance to be Santa, I will spread peace." (Photo: Facebook)

Sharly Modak:

The actress is playing the female lead in ‘Chirodini Ami Je Tomar’. She said, “ My home is in Jalpaiguri and I stay in Kolkata for work. I would like to gift something special to my mother as she stays very far and cannot visit Kolkata often because of our pet. If I become Santa, I will also use my magical power to bring both of them together here.” (Photo: Facebook)

Dibyojyoti Dutta:

Interestingly Nirbhik aka Dibyojyoti turns out to be quite a brave individual unlike his on-screen character, who is a ‘Bhitur Dim’. He seems to be quite realistic and wants to address some severe issues our society is facing. Dibyojyoti as a Santa has three missions. He said, “Being Santa, I must have some magical power, right? I will gift lightweight bullet-proof jacket to all the army personnel and others who keep us safe risking their lives. I will provide food to everyone so that none sleeps hungry. I don't know whether Santa would do this, but I will also make the laws stricter so that none can escape with fines.”

Shrabani Bhunia:

The Kanak Kakon actress wants to bring a smile on the faces of the kids, who live in abject poverty. She said, “If I become Santa, first of all,I would like to distribute food among the street children who are in dire need. It aches my heart seeing the poor kids in such condition. So, I would like to do something for them. Apart from that, I would like to do anything for my mom; anything that she wants, I would like to get it for her. My father is quite unwell so I would love to see him get well soon.” (Photo: Facebook)

Juhi Sengupta:

Juhi is a bubby girl by nature but she is quite emotional too. She said, “It kills me, when I see kids living on the streets, especially during winter. As an individual, I have limited power. I try to distribute them warm clothes and rags. But once I become Santa, I would have magical power. I will use that power to grant the wishes of all those kids and distribute warm clothes, food, books and everything they want.” (Photo: Facebook)

Adrija Auddy Roy:

The actress said, “I have two cousins - a 8-year-old and another 3-year-old. If I become Santa, I would make a playground for them. I would come back from shoot and play with them. We are all kids at heart right?” questions Adrija.
