Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee passes away at 43 after drowning near the sets of 'Bholebaba Paar Karega'
Bengali actor Rahul Arunoday Banerjee, popular for his roles in projects like Rajlokhi O Srikanto, Byomkesh Phire Elo, Zulfiqar, and Na Hannyate, passed away today while shooting for Bholebaba Paar Karega. According to reports, he accidentally slipped into the water, after which crew members quickly stepped in to pull him out. He was then rushed to Digha Hospital around 6 pm, where he was announced dead. The actor was 43, and is survived by a 13-year-old son and actor-wife Priyanka Sarkar.
According to a report in PTI, Rahul's co-star co-actor Diganta Bagchi shared that the actor had gone to the beach, located near Digha in West Bengal's Purba Medinipur district, to shoot a Bengali soap titled 'Bhole Baba Par Karega'.
Bagchi shared, ""After today's shoot, he went alone to the water but somehow got entangled in something under the water... The exact circumstances are not clear. Suddenly, people, including crew members, were shouting that Rahul was drowning and we pulled him out of the water. We rushed him to Digha hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead."
An officer from the West Bengal Police said the actor was pronounced dead at Digha hospital after being brought there from a beach in nearby Odisha.
"We have contacted our counterparts in Odisha to ascertain the sequence of events. A case of unnatural death has been registered in Digha police station as well. We are also talking to his production team members and eyewitnesses," he said.

He also worked in several television shows such as 'Hargouri pice hotel' and 'Mohonna'.
He was married to actress Priyanka Sarkar.
