Aindrila Sharma’s family and boyfriend Sabyasachi Chowdhury bid tearful adieu to the late actress, artists and fans gather around for cremation

Bengali actress Aindrila Sharma died yesterday (November 20), after fighting a fierce battle in hospital, where she was admitted on November 1 after a massive brain stroke. A large number of fans turned up at the hospital to just catch a glimpse of the actress and bid her a final goodbye. Her final rites were performed at Kaoratola crematorium.

While Aindrila had to battle the tough fight in the hospital, her loved ones fought holding her hands, numerous other people joined in the battle too. Some offered puja at temple, prayed at Dargah and sent ‘Ashirbaadi’ to the hospital as a token of love while the actress was putting up a fierce fight against all odds. Everyone hoped for a miracle and wished Aindrila, who defeated cancer twice, will recover soon. It wasn’t easy to accept for her friends, and fans who constantly prayed for her when the news of Aindrila’s demise was declared. Draped in a Benarasi saree, when she was brought out of the hospital, fans cried profusely. It was equally shocking for the relatives to accept the news who had came to meet the actress during visiting hours yesterday.

Tollywood will remember Aindrila as a fighter. She was full of life and never let the disease her smile or the dreams she passionately nurtured deep inside. Artists, technicians and fans remember her as an inspiration who knew how to fight, and win. It wasn’t easy for anyone to bid her goodbye.

Family members, beau Sabyasachi Chowdhury accompanied by others brought the mortal remains of Aindrila at Kudghat residence. Police were posted at the hospital premises and it was made sure that vehicle carrying Aindrila’s mortal remaining reaches her home uninterrupted. A huge number of fans had gathered at the roadside from where the car arrived Aindrila’s residence. The actress’ elder sister, put a bindi and lipstick on Aindrila’s face keeping her love for make-up in mind. People, who witnessed the scene, couldn’t control tears.

The mortal remains of Aindrila were taken to Technician’s studio, a premises which has many memories with the 24-year-old actress. Artists, technicians paid their homage.

Sabyasachi, who met Aindrila first time during her debut show and eventually became a part of her life, was with her till the last moment. He kissed her feet and bid a goodbye.

Past few days have been full of anxious moments for Aindrila’s family, friends and loved ones. It was tough to accept the news. Many celebrities, her co-stars, who knew Aindrila very well, shared how inspired they are by the 24-year-old actress who taught them what life is and how to put up a fierce fight against all odds.
