Four TV actors down with dengue: Four television actors — Roopal Patel, Jasmin Bhasin, Meiyang Chang and Shikha Singh — are suffering from the painful, debilitating mosquito-borne disease. Roopal, who essays the role of Kokilaben in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, says, “I have been unwell since the past 10 days. I was hospitalised but have been discharged now. My platelet count is still low. I’m under observation. Two days ago, I started reporting to the set just for my close-ups. My production house has been extremely cooperative. I will go for a blood test tomorrow.” Jasmin, who plays the protagonist in Tashan-E-Ishq, says, “I must have contracted the disease on an outdoor shoot. I’ve been down since four days and hope to get discharged soon. I will resume work immediately as we are hard-pressed for time in terms of the telecast.” Chang, who is currently seen in I Can Do That, says, “Apart from the intense acts, I have had to battle an injury (a twisted ankle) and now this disease. The rehearsals and dengue have taken a toll on me. I was advised bed rest for two week. I’ve lost a lot of weight and get tired easily.” Shikha, the antagonist of Kumkum Bhagya, was in the hospital for eight days. She is recovering now and is expected to resume the shoot soon. “It was terrible. Thankfully, I have recovered and will get back to work,” she says.

'Kahaani Humari' actress Rhea Sharma down with chicken pox

TV actress Rhea Sharma, who is known for her role as Gauri in &TV's 'Kahaani Humari' has been diagnosed with chicken pox. The actress is on bed rest and not able to shoot for the show. Due to this, the makers of the show might have to change the sequence a bit. Rhea is recovering soon and shall be back on the sets in a few days. Rhea was also seen in 'Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar'.

'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' cast suffers from eye infection

The kids of Star Plus' popular show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' are all suffering from eye infection. Mishti (Arna Sharma), Gayu (Payal Bhojwani) and Naira (Ashnoor Kaur), all three are going through the same problem. According to sources, Payal got an eye infection few days back and as she continued shooting, the infection got spread to the other two girls of the show. All three of them are taking precautions now but still continuing with their shoot.

Actress Moon Banerjee slips on the stairs

Actress Moon Banerjee, who is seen in TV shows like 'Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi' and 'Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani' recently sprained her ankle by slipping off the stairs at her home. Due to severe pain, Moon had to bed rest and her schedule went for a toss. She had to stop shooting for her shows as she had to rest. The actress is upset about her routine getting hay wired.

'Meri Saasu Maa' lead actors Pearl and Hiba unwell

While shooting for a special episode for Holi on Zee TV, the couple had to perform a rain dance together. After shooting for hours, the two got down with cold and cough. Being professionals, they did not let the sickness hamper the shoot and continued working. Pearl shared with an online entertainment portal, "Yes, that's true. We are under the weather due to shooting in water for a long time."

Radhika Madan burns herself: The pretty actress, Radhika Madan, met with an accident and is in immense pain after burning herself. She shared, "It happened last night while I was drinking my tea. My pet dog was sitting on my lap and was behaving cranky. He was not eating food, so my servant pulled the chain to take him along. Due to a sudden jerk, the hot tea spilled on my neck. My neck and collar bone area got burnt with severe scars."

Kamya Punjabi hospitalized: The beautiful actress, who was last seen in 'Doli Armaano Ki' was hospitalized for two days after being detected with food poisoning. Kamya said, "Yes, I was in the hospital for the last two days, and last night I got discharged. I started feeling uneasy after having some outside food."

Helly Shah hospitalized with dengue: Popular actress Helly Shah aka Swara of 'Swaragini' has been diagnosed with Dengue and hospitalized. The actress was feeling quite sick for a long time and was occupied in shooting worsening her state. Helly is getting the treatment done now and hoping to start shooting again soon!

Shikha Singh hospitalized: The 'Kumkum Bhagya' actress Shikha Singh has been hospitalized. Shikha has fallen prey to the deadly dengue. According to sources, the actress was feeling low for quite some time. After examination it was revealed to be dengue. It’s been five days, since she is in the hospital. Doctors have advised her bed rest for now.

Cricketer Harbhajan Singh visited his dear friend Navjot Singh Sidhu at Delhi's Indraprastha Apollo Hospital on October 11. The duo clicked a picture together and posted it on Twitter through their respective accounts. While Bhajji wished Sidhu a speedy recovery, Sherry tweeted "Lucky Day for both ! One on way to recovery.. Other on way to 500 wickets !"

Sharad Kelkar shoots with high fever, inflamed knee: Sharad Kelkar, who plays the title role in crime thriller series 'Agent Raghav - Crime Branch', has not let his ill health impact his work. The actor, who is suffering from viral fever, not only reported for the shoot on time, but also worked for an entire gruelling day. According to a source, Sharad choose to continue shooting despite having fever and was also suffering from an inflamed right knee. "Even though Sharad was in discomfort, he didn't make much hoopla about it and diligently shot for all the hours that was required of him. Sharad's professionalism and sincerity is commendable," the source said.

PM Modi wishes Sidhu a speedy recovery: PM Narendra Modi showed concerned on Sidhu's illness and tweeted wishing him a speedy recovery. NaMo tweeted:

Navjot Singh Sidhu hospitalised

The man with the most infectious laughter on the small screen, former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has been hospitalised. The cricketer turned commentator who is known for his unique dressing sense and amazing one liners on comic show, 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' has been admitted to the Apollo hospital. The ex-Indian cricketer was hospitalised after being diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

A shocked, Kiku Sharda, said, "I just got this news from you. I just pray that he gets well soon and comes out fit and fine. As far as telecast is conecerned, we have enough bank with us. The next shooting is on October 13, 2015 and I hope he will be out of hospital by that time. We also have shot with Shandaar cast which will go on-air on Oct 18, 2015. So I don't think we need to worry."

While Kiku answered the call, Kapil Sharma and Preeti Simoes (Creative Director of Comedy Nights with Kapil) remained unavailable for comment.

Four from Mere Angne Mein down with viral: Owing to the weather change in Mumbai, many television actors are falling ill with viral fever and dengue. This includes the principal actors and crew members from the show 'Mere Angne Mein'. Karam Rajpal, who plays the male lead, Sucheta Trivedi, Krutika Desai and Roshni Rastogi are down with viral fever. However, they could not take an off as the show airs on all days. We hear that a doctor was called on the set to treat them and they were given injections for temporary relief. Karam says, “I’ve been down with fever for the past few days. Though I’ve been advised by the doctor to rest, we are pressed for time and have a tight schedule to follow. However, I make sure to rest in my vanity van in between shots.”

Acting on the small screen might appear like a fun job with all the glitz and glamour attached to it. But rarely does one notice the hardships that these TV actors go through- from long and odd working hours to coming on the sets even when sick so that viewers do not miss even a single episode of their favourite daily soap.

Aniruddh Dave catches eye infection: Shooting in Lucknow for a film these days, actor Aniruddh Dave, best known for his roles in serials like 'Aaj Ki Housewife Hai...Sab Jaanti Hai', 'Phulwa' and 'Bandhan', has caught a severe eye infection. “I was shooting for a death scene with actor Ashutosh Rana in Chandrika Devi Mandir on October 2. During the scene, my body had to float in the river Gomti. Before attempting the scene, I checked if the river was clean for me to do such a scene, ki hahin paani ganda na ho,“ says Aniruddh, whose worst nightmare came true. “While we were in the middle of the scene, my eyes suddenly got watery and also started itching and paining.The situation got so bad that we had to wrap up the shoot for the day and I was rushed to an eye specialist,“ he shares. Aniruddh had to consult the eye specialist twice in a single day because of the severity of the infection he had contracted. “The doctor had advised me complete rest for few days as I was unable to even open my eyes completely.

Barkha Bisht recovering from Dengue: The latest victim of dengue is Barkha Bisht Sengupta who is currently seen in 'Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman' as Devi Anjana, an important character for which she is needed to shoot regularly. However, due to her illness, Barkha had to take some days off but given the format of the show she is back to her shoot. Even though she has resumed shooting Barkha still sounds low as she tells us about her ordeal, “It has really drained me out completely, however I must say I was lucky to have found out that I had dengue in the first blood test itself since I have heard that sometimes you come to know about it only after couple of blood tests.” Barkha had hubby Indraneil by her side all the time that she was recuperating, “I am not the types who will rush to the doctor and it was Indraneil who insisted that I get a blood test done. He postponed his shoot in Kolkata and has been taking care of my medicine and diet while at the same time spending time with our daughter Meira.”

Nikhil Chinapa suffering from dengue: Popular DJ and VJ Nikhil Chinapa, who was supposed to travel to Shillong for the "Submerge Dance Project", will have to skip the show as he is suffering from dengue. Nikhil took to Facebook on Saturday to share his health condition. "Hi everyone in Shillong. I've been battling dengue fever for a week now and am still not well enough to travel. Since I'm just out of hospital, the doctors have advised at least a week of rest and recuperation," he wrote. "I was really looking forward to the Submerge Dance Project with all of you and am totally gutted that I can't make it. I'm sure you'll have an amazing time with the mega-talented Albin Myers and Nawed Khan. I believe Tuhin Mehta is joining them as well. Have fun you guys and stay away from those damn mosquitoes! Until next time then," he added. Submerge Dance Project is taking place at Orchid Lake Resort. Submerge is India’s leading dance music portal. It’s been some days that she is at home, recuperating from the disease. Pushtiie shared, “Well, finally the chickens have taken their pox back. I want to thank all the chickens from the deepest parts of my heart for lending me their valuable poxes (laughs). Jokes apart I am almost recovered now, and am constantly in touch with my family doctor. I will start shooting for my PKHJD very soon.”

Radhika Madan hospitalised after a freak accident:

TV actress Radhika Madan, who plays Ishani in Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi, was rushed to hospital after she faced an injury while playing with her pet. As per the online reports, Radhika's pet bit her and scratched her face while she was getting ready for a red carpet event. She injured her eyes in the accident, but is now doing fine.

Due to the same reason, the actress was seen sporting a stylish pair of aviators at the ITA Awards 2015 red carpet.

News is that actress Khalida Turi, popularly known as Qutub of 'Razia Sultan', is bedridden due to a foot injury. The injury seems to be severe as Khalida had to undergo a surgery for it on August 17. According to a report by Tellychakkar.com, Khalida said, “I underwent a small operation as the foot was causing me trouble and I had been neglecting it. I will be discharged on August 18. I would like to thank my fans who have been very supportive and have been constantly praying for my well-being.”

Asha Negi hospitalised

Asha Negi, who is currently anchoring 'Indian Idol Junior' along with Hussain Kuwajerwala, suddenly fell down on the set of the show. She was drifting in and out of consciousness and was constantly throwing up too. While she was rushed to the hospital, the shooting continued with Hussain alone hosting the show. We hear that Asha had to be put under medical care for a few hours. She says, “I was not able to even stand as I felt dizzy. This was not due to shooting stress. Doctors are calling it a migraine attack. I felt that I won't be able to report to shoot the next day too. But I have a great co-anchor in Hussain, so thankfully, he handled it well.”

Siddharth Sagar hospitalised:

Siddharth Sagar, who plays the dual role of Selfie Mausi and Naseer in the laugh riot, 'Comedy Classes' missed his shoot this week. The actor, who is down with viral fever, has been admitted to a hospital. According to a source, “Siddharth was visiting Delhi for some work where he suddenly fell ill and was hospitalised. He was advised complete bed rest and thus could not come back to Mumbai. Since he was an integral part of the show, there was a bit of a problem when he missed shooting and we had to change the script a bit to adjust his absence.” However, the show has a bank of episodes and Siddharth too should be back to his shoot by the end of this week, ready to take the audience on a laugh trip.

Garima Jain hospitalized

News is that TV actress Garima Jain, who will be seen in Sony TV’s new show '2025: Jaane Kya Hoga', has been hospitalized. The actress recently fainted on her doorsteps after returning from the shoot. Garima was then rushed to Kokilaben hospital by her mother where the doctor informed that she had suffered a migraine attack and acute body dehydration. Garima's mother confirmed the news saying, "Since last few days Garima was not eating properly and ignoring her meals, that caused the weakness.” While Garima said, “I am back home, but still quite weak. Will rest it off for now.”

Gauhar Khan is down with fever

Looks like elder sister Nigaar Khan's wedding preparations have taken a toll on TV actres-host Gauhar Khan's health. Gauhar took to micro blogging site Twitter to share the news that she is down with fever, recently. Gauhar tweeted, "So afterall,d exhaustion has shown its signs... Down wid a fever...cold... Rohit Purohit down with fever

TV actor Rohit Purohit has been working without a break on the professional front. So much so that the work has taken a toll on his health and the 'Razia Sultan'-fame actor is now down with fever. But looks like Rohit, better known as Altunia in the show, continues to shoot. He shared the news on micro blogging site Twitter on July 23 as he wrote, "Not well today.....!! But show must go on.......!!"

Achint Kaur down with dengue

Looks like the monsoons have taken its toll on TV actress Achint Kaur. News is that Achint has been diagnosed with dengue and is on medication. The actress is currently seen as Durga Devi in 'Jamai Raja' on Zee TV. But even when ill, Achint maintained her funny side as she recently posted on Facebook, “Bhai jab Bhagwn deta hai to.... Chapar phaaar kar deta hai... Package deal may...DENGUE... De diya yaar...”

Amruta Khanvilkar suffering from stomach infection

Amruta Khanvilkar and Himmanshoo Malhotra, who recently won 'Nach Baliye 7', are unable to enjoy the win due to Amruta's illness. Himmanshoo confirmed the news saying, “Her stomach had been paining for the past few days. After the finale, she was admitted to a hospital. But a day later, I got her discharged for the winner’s announcement. Post that, I took her back to the hospital as she was unable to eat anything. It was perhaps something she ate; doctors have advised observation and treatment." The couple is planning to go on a honeymoon as soon as Amruta recovers.

Kapil Sharma suffers from slip disc, advised bed rest

Comedy king Kapil Sharma is on a break from his popular TV show 'Comedy Nights with Kapil'. The actor has been advised bed rest following a slipped disc. Kapil took to Twitter where he shared the news saying, "Hello friends. Hope All well... But I am not well.. Advised for bed rest... Shooting last episode with @BeingSalmanKhan coming back soon." On the other hand, it's noted that the stand-up comedian is currently on a tour with his cast members to US-Canada.

Shilpa Shinde recovers from a minor surgery

TV actress Shilpa Shinde is recovering from a minor surgery. It's noted that the actres, who plays the role of Angoori Devi from 'Bhabiji...', was absent on 100 episodes' completion celebration as she was recovering from a minor surgery.

Lead actors of 'Tu Mera Hero' Priyanshu Jora and Sonia Balani, along with ten others from the show were suffering from viral fever few days back. Talking about it, Sonia said, "I shot with 103 degree temperature a day back. We are taking corrective measures to prevent others from falling ill. Our food is thoroughly checked and people who sneeze have to cover their mouth... simple things like these. We also try to wrap up the shoot as soon as possible every day."
