Four TV actors down with dengue: Four television actors — Roopal Patel, Jasmin Bhasin, Meiyang Chang and Shikha Singh — are suffering from the painful, debilitating mosquito-borne disease. Roopal, who essays the role of Kokilaben in Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, says, “I have been unwell since the past 10 days. I was hospitalised but have been discharged now. My platelet count is still low. I’m under observation. Two days ago, I started reporting to the set just for my close-ups. My production house has been extremely cooperative. I will go for a blood test tomorrow.” Jasmin, who plays the protagonist in Tashan-E-Ishq, says, “I must have contracted the disease on an outdoor shoot. I’ve been down since four days and hope to get discharged soon. I will resume work immediately as we are hard-pressed for time in terms of the telecast.” Chang, who is currently seen in I Can Do That, says, “Apart from the intense acts, I have had to battle an injury (a twisted ankle) and now this disease. The rehearsals and dengue have taken a toll on me. I was advised bed rest for two week. I’ve lost a lot of weight and get tired easily.” Shikha, the antagonist of Kumkum Bhagya, was in the hospital for eight days. She is recovering now and is expected to resume the shoot soon. “It was terrible. Thankfully, I have recovered and will get back to work,” she says.

TV actress Rhea Sharma, who is known for her role as Gauri in &TV's 'Kahaani Humari' has been diagnosed with chicken pox. The actress is on bed rest and not able to shoot for the show. Due to this, the makers of the show might have to change the sequence a bit. Rhea is recovering soon and shall be back on the sets in a few days. Rhea was also seen in 'Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyar'.

The kids of Star Plus' popular show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' are all suffering from eye infection. Mishti (Arna Sharma), Gayu (Payal Bhojwani) and Naira (Ashnoor Kaur), all three are going through the same problem. According to sources, Payal got an eye infection few days back and as she continued shooting, the infection got spread to the other two girls of the show. All three of them are taking precautions now but still continuing with their shoot.

My pet dog was sitting on my lap and was behaving cranky. He was not eating food, so my servant pulled the chain to take him along. Due to a sudden jerk, the hot tea spilled on my neck. My neck and collar bone area got burnt with severe scars."

According to a source, Sharad choose to continue shooting despite having fever and was also suffering from an inflamed right knee. "Even though Sharad was in discomfort, he didn't make much hoopla about it and diligently shot for all the hours that was required of him. Navjot Singh Sidhu hospitalised

The man with the most infectious laughter on the small screen, former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has been hospitalised. The cricketer turned commentator who is known for his unique dressing sense and amazing one liners on comic show, 'Comedy Nights with Kapil' has been admitted to the Apollo hospital. The ex-Indian cricketer was hospitalised after being diagnosed with Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

A shocked, Kiku Sharda, said, "I just got this news from you. I just pray that he gets well soon and comes out fit and fine. As far as telecast is conecerned, we have enough bank with us. The next shooting is on October 13, 2015 and I hope he will be out of hospital by that time. We also have shot with Shandaar cast which will go on-air on Oct 18, 2015. So I don't think we need to worry."

While Kiku answered the call, Kapil Sharma and Preeti Simoes (Creative Director of Comedy Nights with Kapil) remained unavailable for comment.

Aniruddh Dave catches eye infection: Shooting in Lucknow for a film these days, actor Aniruddh Dave, best known for his roles in serials like 'Aaj Ki Housewife Hai...Sab Jaanti Hai', 'Phulwa' and 'Bandhan', has caught a severe eye infection. “I was shooting for a death scene with actor Ashutosh Rana in Chandrika Devi Mandir on October 2. During the scene, my body had to float in the river Gomti. Before attempting the scene, I checked if the river was clean for me to do such a scene, ki hahin paani ganda na ho,“ says Aniruddh, whose worst nightmare came true. “While we were in the middle of the scene, my eyes suddenly got watery and also started itching and paining.The situation got so bad that we had to wrap up the shoot for the day and I was rushed to an eye specialist,“ he shares. Aniruddh had to consult the eye specialist twice in a single day because of the severity of the infection he had contracted. “The doctor had advised me complete rest for few days as I was unable to even open my eyes completely.

Barkha Bisht recovering from Dengue: The latest victim of dengue is Barkha Bisht Sengupta who is currently seen in 'Sankatmochan Mahabali Hanuman' as Devi Anjana, an important character for which she is needed to shoot regularly. However, due to her illness, Barkha had to take some days off but given the format of the show she is back to her shoot. Even though she has resumed shooting Barkha still sounds low as she tells us about her ordeal, “It has really drained me out completely, however I must say I was lucky to have found out that I had dengue in the first blood test itself since I have heard that sometimes you come to know about it only after couple of blood tests.” Barkha had hubby Indraneil by her side all the time that she was recuperating, “I am not the types who will rush to the doctor and it was Indraneil who insisted that I get a blood test done. He postponed his shoot in Kolkata and has been taking care of my medicine and diet while at the same time spending time with our daughter Meira.”

Nikhil Chinapa suffering from dengue: Popular DJ and VJ Nikhil Chinapa, who was supposed to travel to Shillong for the "Submerge Dance Project", will have to skip the show as he is suffering from dengue. Nikhil took to Facebook on Saturday to share his health condition. "Hi everyone in Shillong. I've been battling dengue fever for a week now and am still not well enough to travel. Since I'm just out of hospital, the doctors have advised at least a week of rest and recuperation," he wrote. "I was really looking forward to the Submerge Dance Project with all of you and am totally gutted that I can't make it. I'm sure you'll have an amazing time with the mega-talented Albin Myers and Nawed Khan. I believe Tuhin Mehta is joining them as well. Have fun you guys and stay away from those damn mosquitoes! Siddharth Sagar, who plays the dual role of Selfie Mausi and Naseer in the laugh riot, 'Comedy Classes' missed his shoot this week. The actor, who is down with viral fever, has been admitted to a hospital. According to a source, “Siddharth was visiting Delhi for some work where he suddenly fell ill and was hospitalised. He was advised complete bed rest and thus could not come back to Mumbai. The actress recently fainted on her doorsteps after returning from the shoot. Garima's mother confirmed the news saying, "Since last few days Garima was not eating properly and ignoring her meals, that caused the weakness.” While Garima said, “I am back home, but still quite weak.
