Don’t be confused by the name as this Supermarket is a bustling club and not a department store where you could buy everything you need. It was a former garage and was inaugurated sometime in the 1990s to be the popular underground party place that it is today. In fact, it was opened in what was once a wasteland in the city with abandoned factories and incomplete constructions and is majorly responsible for the gentrification of the area. Techno and House music is played by talented local DJs and the crowd is young and bursting with energy. The drinks range from basic whiskey, vodka, gin and rum to Jagermeister shots.
Supermarket is one of the few nightspots that remains open till the early hours of the morning and it is quite amusing to see people dancing like maniacs at 6 am. The dance floor is huge and is decked up with neon lights that will send you in a state of trance. Unlike other clubs, this floor is all concrete and is an indicator of how Supermarket takes pride in its past. This place has a strict entry policy and access is only granted to those who are 21 and above and have an ID proof.
