Zach Theatre's location, adjacent to the popular Lady Bird Lake hike and bike trail, underscores the organization's commitment to bringing professional theater to the masses. By producing a lively mix of lighthearted musicals and serious plays, Zach attracts theater geeks as well as people just looking for a good laugh.
On two intimate stages, Zach presents 500-plus performances per year - and that number is set to rise even further with the opening of a third stage in September 2012.

Comedies for the year include 'Xanadu', a musical spoof of the Olivia Newton-John roller skating movie, and 'Fully Committed', a tale of desperate measures some diners resort to in their efforts to get into a hot new restaurant. In the drama category, 'Dividing the Estate', by Pulitzer Prize winner Horton Foote, explores a Texas family torn apart by greed.
