An engineer by profession, Amitabha loves roaming around the green hills of the tropics seeking occasional relief from the long Canadian winters. He brings back stories of the common people that he often shares his time with when traveling off the beaten paths of the mountains and the rural areas of many countries. To add some spices to his travel interests, Amitabha always looks for opportunities to experience some adrenaline rush from his favourite sports of skydiving, paragliding, zip-lining or even flying in microlites wherever he travels.
You wake up early in the morning with the sound of a knock on your door when the train rolls into the last station at Lao Cai. You climb down the train and step outside the small station. Your travel agent has already arranged a taxi or minivan for you to take you to Sapa town. It will be difficult for you to resist a hot cup of green tea or a cup of coffee sitting on a bench at a nearby ‘dhaba’ before you start your spectacular journey to Sapa.
