Uncommon Objects co-owner Steve Wiman is also an artist who is just a wee bit obsessed with collecting oddities. At his home he maintains a massive collection of balls, from balls of yarn to an orb of barbed wire that's four feet in diameter. Meanwhile, inside his store, it looks like an antiques bomb went off, scattering items large and small into every nook and cranny.
The store's inventory changes regularly, but on any given day you might come across stuffed elk heads, antique oil cans, duck decoys, beaver hats, Mexican religious icons, jade Buddhas, 1920s cigarette cases, Turkish slippers, and test tubes. Make sure you've got some extra room in your suitcase.
