German airline Lufthansa has decided to allow its passengers to use COVID-19 vaccination digital certificates for check-in for flights. The airline has announced that its passengers will be able to show this digital certificate as proof of vaccination. They can download the certificate in their phones and present it during check-in, or even take a print out. On the other hand, Germany has now started issuing QR Codes for fully vaccinated passengers.
Passengers can even contact the airline's service centre 72 hours before they board to find out if they have the right paperwork. This means, negative COVID-19 test, recovery from the virus, and also regarding vaccinations. The airline recommends that passengers carry the original printed vaccinated certificates with them during their journey.
The European Union had eased travel restrictions for summer vacations, and had allowed fully vaccinated travellers to move more freely. This means that if you are fully vaccinated, you will not have to take tests or even quarantine. The EU has even broadened the list of EU regions that are safe to travel.
It seems that vaccination is of utmost importance if one requires to travel, as more and more countries are admitting travellers who are fully vaccinated. There are some places that are still considering other methods, such as negative covid test and so on, but for such travellers all previous rules still apply.
Meanwhile, Britain too is also planning to ease travel restrictions for those who have been fully vaccinated.
