The West Bengal government has decided to ease down on the restrictions that it had put in place after the emergence of the Omicron virus. On Monday, the government decided to withdraw all restrictions that were placed on places of tourist interest in the state. Moreover, daily domestic flights from Delhi and Mumbai has been resumed from Feb 1, 2022
Though domestic flights from Delhi and Mumbai are back on track after weeks of restrictions, flights from Bengaluru are only being permitted thrice a week as of now. These three days are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Passengers entering the state must keep in mind that they are either required to be fully vaccinated, or have an RT-PCR test report with them, which is not older than 72 hours.
The state has also made announcements regarding international flights. Passengers on incoming flights from the United Kingdom to Kolkata will need to present an RT-PCR test report, not older than 48 hours before departure.
