The US National Park Service (NPS) is going to waive entrance fees for every site in celebration of its 105th birthday on August 25th. This means, on that special day, you have the opportunity to visit NPS protected parks without paying any entrance fee.
The other days are - National Public Lands Day (September 25); Veterans Day (November 11); Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (January 18); first day of National Park Week (April 17); and one year anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act (August 4).
It has been reported that since the parks have reopened, they have seen a surge in tourism. In fact, Yellowstone had 40 percent more visitors in April this year when compared to the same period in 2019. Not only Yellowstone, but also Grand Teton had a 48 percent increase in visitors, while Glacier National Park had a 50 percent jump in visitors.
