For this, travellers will be required to download a travel declaration form online, and sign it before boarding their flight. Further, they will have to bring either the electronic copy or the form with them, which will be checked before boarding or at the check-in counter. Those without proper paperwork, might be turned away from the airport.
All these travellers will have to inform everything regarding their travel, i.e., reason for taking the trip, which will have to be legally permitted, like education, work, wedding, or medical purposes etc. Those found without the form might have to pay a $277 fine.
While there is still some time before the United Kingdom opens its borders for tourism again, the country is pushing for developing an internationally recognised vaccine passport in a move to help boost the struggling travel sector when restrictions are lifted.
