Tamil Nadu and Kolkata's Chandrayaan-3 themed Ganesha pandal are all the rage

Today marks the beginning of one of the most famous and revered Hindu festivals of India, Ganesha Chaturthi. Like every year, this year is seeing some great pandals across India, but one of those in Tamil Nadu today is going viral for all the right reasons.

The South Indian state has given a celestial and ‘space’ twist to this year’s celebration, given the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon’s south pole! Across India, several places have given the theme of space to their celebrations but what this Tamil Nadu pandal has done, has gone viral.

The video shared on social media shows a Chandrayaan-3 replica in Tamil Nadu and the resemblance is quite uncanny. The ISRO spacecraft replica looks so real!
The video also shows the model hanging by the roadside, even taking off with flames, to make it look like a rocket launch. The lookalike rocket is made by a local designer, named Shanmugam, who wanted to pay a tribute to Chandrayaan-3. The rocket is placed near the Lord Ganesh idol in Keelkattalai.

Beside Tamil Nadu, the Chandrayaan-3 fever has reached Kolkata as well. A Ganesha pandal in Salt Lake has placed a model of the Chandrayaan rocket on top of the idol. Inside the pandal, there’s a Ganesh idol against the backdrop of a huge picture that looks like the moon’s surface, with Earth suspended in the distance.

It is evident that this Ganesh Chaturthi, India is celebrating its space success in all the possible ways!
