The UK High Commission in India tweeted the same to inform people of the present scenario. With regard to this, British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis informed that the rush is because of the high number of students travelling to the United Kingdom.
He added that the priorities of students and the consequences of the Afghan crisis mean that at this busy time, one should apply for their visa as early as possible.
As per the data from the UK Government, there has been a 30 percent increase in the number of students travelling to the United Kingdom this year as compared to the data last year, leading to India topping the charts for skilled work visas.
As per the reports, the UKVI till the end of June 2021, had already issued student visas to 62,646 applicants in comparison to June 2020 when 14,349 visas were issued.
