Etihad Airways has now announced that flights from India to the United Arab Emirates will continue to be banned until August 2. The national carrier of UAE tweeted saying that the airline company is not sure as to when the ban will be lifted. As of now it seems that it depends on the situation at hand then. Read less
Etihad Airways has now announced that flights from India to the United Arab Emirates will continue to be banned until August 2. Furthermore, the airline has also announced that those who have travelled to the above mentioned countries in the last 14 days, will not be permitted to travel to the UAE, no matter from where they may be flying.
Emirates said in a statement, "UAE Nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas and members of diplomatic missions who comply with updated COVID‑19 protocols, are exempt and may be accepted for travel,"
The ongoing flight ban is mainly due to the fear of the Delta variant of the virus, even though India in the recent weeks have been recovering from the large number of cases.
