MSG Sphere in Las Vegas is the largest spherical structure in the world!

Seems like Las Vegas is only interested in making and breaking records! After becoming home to the tallest Ferris Wheel in the US and the strongest light beam on earth, Vegas has now added another feather in its cap, which is MSG Sphere, the largest spherical structure in the world.

Sin City, as they call Las Vegas, is now home to the planet’s largest sphere which was shown to the world on the occasion of the July Fourth special event. The humongous LED ball displayed the American flag, an eyeball, a basketball and then the Earth on the occasion and impressed the world.
Though MSG Sphere won’t be open to the public for another three more months, people are already waiting and are curious to get a peek inside the giant ball. It’s scheduled to open on September 29 this year and the anticipation is growing for this 366 ft tall and 516 ft wide LED ball. The bowl-shaped theater has the world’s highest-resolution wraparound LED screen and as per reports, the exterior is decorated with 1.2 million hockey puck-sized LEDs.

Rich Claffey, Sphere’s chief operations officer, said, “It’s absolutely stunning to look up and see what’s in front of you. I’ve been in the entertainment business for almost 40 years. I’ve never seen anything like this, and I’m not exaggerating. It is off the charts.”
As per reports, the exterior of the sphere will be illuminated every day and night with animations and other imagery. The venue will also host music and film events in future.
