Kerala reopens its beaches for public from Nov 1

The pristine beaches of Kerala are once again open for public visitors after staying closed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the reports, Kerala state government has reopened the beaches from November 1 in the second phase of unlocking various tourism centres across the state. November 1, Sunday, also happens to be Kerala Day. In the first phase of unlocking, the state had reopened hill station, backwater tourism, houseboats and adventure resorts on October 12 with the condition that all COVID-19 safety guidelines should be followed.
E M Najeeb, senior vice president, Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) told a press agency that reopening beaches will give renewed energy and boost to the hotels and resorts located at beaches. It will also give relief to the local families who wish to spend their time at the beachside to take break from the current Corona crisis.

Reportedly, as many as 26 key tourism projects were inaugurated in Kerala in October 2020 by the state Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Kovalam, Varkala, Alleppey and Kannur are some of the best beach towns in Kerala.
