Mumbai: MSRTC to launch day-long trips to famous Raigad Fort very soon

Very soon, you will be able to enjoy day-long trips to Raigad Fort in Maharashtra. As per the latest reports, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is all set to launch a unique day long trip for those interested in exploring the famous Raigad fort of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Referring to this, MSRTC Managing Director Shekhar Channe said that it will be a complete day trip that will offer a good experience to visitors, along with giving them an opportunity to enjoy the ropeway to reach the fort. He added special buses for Raigad will be made available on Sundays, which will leave Mumbai Central depot at 5 AM and reach near Raigad at around 9:30 AM. After having breakfast at local restaurants, which is not included in the costs, the visitors can take the ropeway to reach the fort, which will cost them INR 100 one way. He added that the students, families, and others visit this fort on Sundays, and that it takes around 20 min to reach the spot via the ropeway. The MSRTC spokesperson also added that once you reach the fort, you can hire a guide or opt to explore the magnificent fort all by yourself. He also informed that after completing the tour, you can return via the ropeway late afternoon, and drive back to Mumbai via the same bus.

Reportedly, a one-way bus journey will cost you INR 260, which means the total cost for to and from the journey will be INR 520. This amount, however, does not include the refreshment cost and the ropeway tickets.
