Kaman Post (Kaman Setu) is also known as the Bridge of Peace and, believe it or not, it is quite a popular destination in Baramulla district. Located in Uri, Kaman Post falls on the Line of Control.
From a cafeteria to opening the trading line across LOC (to Pakistan), the Indian Army has done tremendously in the past to revive Kaman Post and to turn the place into a tourist attraction.

If reports are to go by, Kaman Post is well-loved by young travellers and student visitors visiting the post. After all, the visitors have the Indian Army personnels educating them about the Line of Control, the significance of Kaman Post and most importantly, the regional history.

If you are to visit the post now, you will see a refurbished place, a place that’s welcoming of visitors and the one you would love to see and experience. It’s commonly said that whoever visits the place can’t help but delve deep into the history of India-Pakistan relations, many stories about the erstwhile kingdoms and their rulers and our very own brave soldiers who have made history at this very spot by laying down their lives.
