Till Monday, those entering the state, except drivers of goods vehicles, had to follow the state’s Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), which involved a COVID-19 test, as well as stay in a quarantine centre till the result is out. And if the test reports came positive, the person had to be admitted in a COVID care centre or hospital.
Apart from this, the state has also opened up bars from today, with all necessary precautions in place, such as social distancing measures, wearing face masks, and temperature checks. In fact, apart from casinos and beach shacks, Goa is now open for travelers. Reportedly, casinos will remain closed for now, whereas beach shacks will open after monsoon is over.
