Fully-vaccinated people may travel now: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has come up with a big decision for the US, stating that those vaccinated for COVID-19 can resume travel since they are at low-risk for contracting or spreading the COVID-19 virus. It's probably the big news that travellers across the nation have been waiting for, especially now when it's Easter time. The decision was made public on Friday, April 2, 2021.

The term Fully Vaccinated, as used by CDC, refers to people who have passed the timeline of two weeks after their second dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or two weeks since they received the single dose of Johnson & Johnson's vaccine. Fully vaccinated people are also allowed to meet indoors without masks.
https://twitter.com/CDCgov/status/1377312255088472064The statement also means that those who have been fully-vaccinated do not need to get tested before leaving the USA; they also do not need to quarantine on their arrival back in the country. However, they would still need to take the test if the destination rules state so. CDC further stated that fully-vaccinated travellers "can now travel at low risk to themselves."

It has to be noted that those flying into the country from any foreign country (more that 2 years of age), including citizens who are returning, need to provide proof of COVID-19 negative test or proof of recovery before boarding a US-bound flight. This includes both vaccinated and non-vaccinated travellers.
CDC also recommends that travellers who are keen to travel domestically should not get tested unless it is a requirement by the local authorities. The Centre had released an order of February 2, which stated those using public transport must essentially wear masks.
