Not too long ago, visitors at the Gateway of India got themselves beautiful memorabilia in the form of a photograph. Photographers waited with their cameras looking to capture the happy moments of these visitors who come to see the Gateway of India. But now with the partial lockdown, and restrictions in travel, there are barely any visitors at the Gateway of India, while the photographers wait.
According to a photographer, there were about 400 photographers at the Gateway of India, and the Taj Hotel at Colaba. But the pandemic has forced most of them to return to their hometowns, and only about 100 of them are left now. Some others have begun to work in other areas, such as construction, or as vegetable vendors.
