Now, this is huge as the 35-year old himself didn’t know that he would achieve something this big before embarking on this road trip. He started the trip as a part of his ‘Discover India’ trip, wherein he covered 19,426 km in 97 days.
Before this, George travelled more than 1000 km from Patna to Meerut, on the Purvanchal Expressway over 20-odd hours. He says that “driving gives me immeasurable happiness”. He was awarded with the certificate in late-April this year.
He did meet some aggressive drivers on Pune-Vapi highway, where truck drivers are merciless. Counting his record days, George further said that he would have made it back quicker but for 12 days he got stuck in landslides in Sikkim and Ladakh.
He calls it a forced halt that was more adventurous than he had imagined as there are not many travellers in Ladakh on road trips during harsh winters. Those that get there, need special permits to access.
