Flights from India have been suspended further until July 21, 2021, Etihad Airlines now confirms. The airline replied to a tweet where it mentioned, “We have just received an update and flights from India have been suspended till the 21st July. We'll keep the ticket open for you, and you can reschedule it at a later stage by calling our Call Centre team. They might be handling a high volume of calls.”
Etihad’s official twitter handle further replied to another passenger query who questioned the constant changes on flight status. The airline wrote that while they understand that it is confusing, updates regarding the travel ban extension was widely expected. The airline then once again confirmed that the ban has not been lifted yet, and has been extended until July 21.

The ongoing second wave in India is making it very hard for international destinations to accept travellers flying from India. While some countries have relaxed some restrictions for Indian travellers, a majority of destinations are yet to open up.
