India’s 18th Vande Bharat Express train has been inaugurated, covering a total distance of 302km from Delhi’s Anand Vihar terminal to Dehradun with stops at Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Saharanpur, Roorkee and Haridwar. It will run every day except for Wednesdays and will take 4 hours and 45 minutes to complete the journey. Read less
If reports are to go by, the Delhi-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express will start operations from May 29, and will cover a total distance of 302 km in just under five hours (4 hours and 45 minutes). Except Wednesdays, the express train will run on all days of the week. The express train (number 22457) will depart Anand Vihar Railway Station at 5:50 PM and will reach Dehradun station at 10:35 PM.
Depending on different trains, as of now, the travel duration between Delhi and Dehradun by train is usually between 05 hours 50 minutes to 11 hours 55 minutes. Now, with the new Delhi - Dehradun Vande Bharat Express, you can reach your destination in less than five hours; now that sounds like a very convenient thing. Not only that, this express train will not only be super fast, but also very comfortable for travellers.
With the addition of this express train, the Indian Railways just made travel to different places in Uttarakhand a tad bit easier than before.
