Rajasthan: RT-PCR test mandatory for those entering the state from outside

The Rajasthan state government has ordered closure of gymnasiums, multiplexes, and has also imposed night curfew to contain the spread of Coronavirus. As per the guidelines issued by Principal Secretary (Home) Abhay Kumar, the government has also restricted the number of people gathering at social events.
As per the reports, it will now be mandatory for travellers entering the state and those travelling outside to undertake RT-PCR test. The new set of rules has been imposed amid a surge in COVID cases, and an effort to contain the spread of the deadly virus. Also, as per the guidelines, night curfew will remain in place from 8 PM to 6 AM. While food delivery will be allowed during the curfew hours, dining at hotels and restaurants will not be allowed. Reportedly, swimming pools will also remain closed during this period.
Further, in the wake of rising Coronavirus cases in the country and state, the Rajasthan state government has also urged citizens not to undertake interstate travel. It also informed that a special drive will be carried out to make people aware of social distancing, face masks, and standard operating procedure. Reports also state that special efforts will be made to ensure vaccination numbers are increased in the coming days.

As per the records, Rajasthan reported two deaths and 1729 Coronavirus cases on Sunday, thereby taking the infection count to 339325. Till date, as many as 2829 people have lost their lives in the state due to the virus.
