Indonesia’s most popular tourist destination, Bali, is all set to reopen for international tourists from certain countries from October 14 onwards. According to Luhut Pandjaitan, Bali’s Senior Cabinet Minister, Bali will reopen for New Zealand, China, and Japan, among other countries. The Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali will open to international tourists from October 14, but there are certain rules to take note of.
Bai’s current COVID situation is better than it was, as cases have plummeted from more than 56000 cases that was the norm in mid-July, to 1100 cases on October 3. Hence, it is safe to say that things are improving in this Indonesian paradise. However, as Luhut has said, the government does not want the unexpected to happen, and is therefore reopening in phases.
Indonesia has had more than 4 million COVID deaths so far.
