Currently, Indian nationals can visit 62 countries without a visa, and as of August 2023, they can apply for a Unified E-Visa (UEV) to enter Russia. Entry into all of Russia for personal, professional, or recreational reasons is possible with this visa, which usually takes four days to process.

India is proving to be a major market for Russian tourism, and the UEV system has been a major step towards strengthening ties between the two countries.
Additionally, the UEV application process is simple and hassle-free. Indian nationals must schedule an appointment in order to apply online through the Russian Embassy or Consulate. To prevent delays or rejections, applicants must make sure that the personal information they provide corresponds with the data registered in the registration system.
The transition to visa-free travel and the continued success of the UEV, might be a hopeful thing for Indian tourists hoping to visit Russia in the near future.
