No heavy vehicles including trucks and transport carriers won’t be allowed to enter the Shastri Bridge. Such heavy vehicles will follow an alternative route and use Dr. Ambedkar Bridge instead.
However, the smaller vehicles, such as two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and cars will use one side of the Shastri Bridge while the other side is under repair. While this might cause slight delays, it allows commuters to continue crossing between Narol Circle and Vishala Circle without significant detours.
The Ahmedabad traffic police have issued a public notification informing residents of these changes. Commuters are advised to stay updated on the latest diversions and plan their routes accordingly. The repairs are expected to be completed by December 31, at which point normal traffic patterns will resume.
