Learn something at the Edo-Tokyo Museum - Few museums have left as deep an impression on me as the Edo-Tokyo Museum. We all learn about World War II in school and how the USA dropped the first two nuclear bombs in history on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. However, it is a completely different experience when you see the firsthand effects of nuclear history.

The Edo-Tokyo Museum is massive! Two stories full of scale replicas and exhibits showcasing the history of Japan from the beginning of the Edo Period in the 1600s on up to the 1990s. A wildly impressive museum that exceeded all expectations, and a great way to kill two hours. Plus, every exhibit is in both English and Japanese, so you have no excuse for not learning something.
