Contemporary Chinese art within the city centre
Word to the wise: Behind the museum, the pedestrian street Baiziwan road 百子湾路 has some nice boutiques and pricey yet charming little cafes.
The museum is always one step ahead of the game when it comes to showing the hottest art talent. It has its own creative center as well as a research department and periodical, making it a frequent hangout for art buffs. The emphasis is on home-grown artists but there are some international works too.
