A man in India has already covered 2300 km on foot, and he is not stopping anytime soon. Avdhesh Sharma began his odyssey from Ladakh in April 21, and he plans to walk all the way to the southernmost tip of India, Kanyakumari.
Avdhesh’s journey is a unique one, even though many have attempted or even completed the journey from north to south. It all began with the lockdown when Sharma cycled from Delhi to Kosi Kalan in Uttar Pradesh, after arranging an e-pass. Once the situation got a little better, he got the idea to cycle from Kosi Kalan to Uttarakhand’s Mana. Then, the idea struck him. He thought of doing the north to south trip and tested his limits in the process, by walking on foot. What makes Sharma’s journey unique is that he is the first to walk from the northernmost tip, which is Thang, to the southernmost tip, which is Kanyakumari.
