Vintage & Classic Car Collection Museum

If you have had your fair share of visiting opulent palaces and gardens while in the city of lakes aka Udaipur, hop in to Vintage & Classic Car Collection Museum for a welcoming break. The exclusive collection of around 22 cars, which is housed within the grounds of the Garden Hotel, is definitely worth a visit if you are an automobile buff.
The collection, which reflects the royal splendour of the Maharanas, includes rare pieces like the 1946 Buick Super 8 and a seven seater 1938 Cadillac. The former Mewar State Motor Garage that has now been converted into a museum also has the elusive 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom that was used in the Bond film Octopussy.

A hot spot for tourists since February 2000 when it was first inaugurated for the public, each of these cars were owned by the Maharanas of Mewar. A visit to this place does manage to provide you a sneak peak into the lives of royalty and the grandeur of the Maharajas! There is also an option to buy lunch along with the ticket and this is a very convenient option indeed.
