Getting around Sydney and beyond
Sydney's state-owned CityRail network provides train travel around Sydney and to popular weekend destinations beyond, with routes extending north to Newcastle, west to the Blue Mountains and south to Wooloongong. The Airport, Eastern Surburbs and Inner West lines provide access to the main sights for visitors, with single, return, day-pass and longer-term tickets available for purchase from 24hr ticket booths at each station.
If you plan to travel between several destinations in one day, consider opting for a MyMulti day pass (AUD 21), which allows for unlimited travel on CityRail, LightRail and ferry services.
