Handy help for the digital-savvy traveller
Noteworthy for: You've got GuidePal, but there are a few more cool apps to help you maximise a Nice trip. All are available for iPhone, most for Android and some for Blackberry.

Sightseeing: The Nice Monument Tracker signals points of interest with a corresponding summary. This clever app works in most towns across France.
Museums: The free Chagall Museum Audioguide (in English) is brilliant. Visit on the first Sunday of each month for free admission, too.

News: Peruse the local daily newspaper, Nice-Matin, for free.

Tunes: Download the FIP app to tune into this eclectic Parisian radio station which isn't available on Nice radio waves.


Buses and trains: The Lignes d’Azur app alerts you to the nearest station and next bus arrival, while the SNCF Direct app replicates the arrivals/departures board at the station.

Bike rentals: The Velu Bleu app indicates the closest station, the number of bikes in stock and how many places are available to dump yours.

Toilets: Assisted by user ratings, Ou Sont Les Toilettes? will help you avoid an awkward situation when your hotel room is out of range.
