The Bhagsunag shrine is about as old as the Dal Lake, and originated around a myth about a great fight between the demon king (Bhagsu) and the snake god (Nag).
The Bhagsunag shrine is about as old as the Dal Lake, and originated around a myth about a great fight between the demon king (Bhagsu) and the snake god (Nag). It has been rebuilt more than once, and although it is presently covered in white tiles, there is something about the place that draws you in.
