Tokyo soon to have its own ‘Platform Nine and Three- Quarters’ after ‘Harry Potter’ makeover!

Good news for all the Potterheads out there! Two train stations in Japan’s capital city Tokyo are gettin Harry Potter makeover. This means Tokyo will soon have its own Platform Nine and Three- Quarters as Japan is now planning to have its very own Harry Potter theme park, known as Warner Bros Studio Tour- The Making of Harry Potter.

The studio tour is all set to open in 2023 and therefore two nearby railway stations will also be transformed according to the theme. These stations will act as a getaway to the world of the wizards! Sounds exciting, right?

Tokyo’s Seibu Railway Co. has taken the responsibility of transforming the Toshimaen Station in Nerima Ward, which is in proximity to the upcoming theme park. As per local reports, a new two-storey structure will be constructed within the station that will feature a dark red train platform, just like Hogsmeade train station from the series.
The second station that will be transformed is the Ikebukuro Station. As per reports, the platforms will be modelled as London’s King’s Cross train station, where Hogwarts students would get an entry. The station will feature the iconic brown brick facades and analog clocks just like Potter world!


At Toshimaen Station, the pillars and benches of the platforms will also be given the same red colour. So, Harry Potter fans, there’s something new to look forward to!
