Ting is a Norwegian word that translates to ‘thing’ in English. Hence, it’s a shop that sells a lot of things. I would say that Ting is the one-stop gift shop. If you are feeling a bit indecisive about what gifts to buy for your family and friends, then just walk into this shop. It’s a beautiful Scandinavian design shop located in Bryggen. It’s stocked up with innumerable items such as miniatures of various characters, soft toys, jewellery, fine glassware and other kitchen products, personal care, quirky glasses, trendy bottles, bed sheets and pillow covers, and a broad range of locally made souvenirs. In fact, some of the gifts are from very high-quality local brands such as Tivoli, Oyoy, Design House Stockholm, Stelton, Arabia of Finland, Marimekko, Tilt, Iittala, Alessi, etc.
