Cheap tourist gear like t-shirts should cost anywhere between 90 baht ($3) and 300 baht. Genuine brand name clothing from a department store will be slightly cheaper than buying clothes at home, but not much.
• A big fancy shopping centre in Patong (just like the shopping centres in Australia and the US)
• A good place to spend a few hours on a rainy day
• Prices are set and there aren’t too many bargains to be found here.

Ocean Plaza Bangla
Shopping at the street markets isn’t going to be much fun in the rain, so head to Ocean Plaza on Bangla Road. It’s an arcade, and you can find similar offerings to the markets. You can and should haggle here. Great bargains can be found, and the shopkeepers are a little more relaxed than at other parts of the island.
Open daily from 10:30 – 23:30
Location: Central Bangla Road
