The Rudana fine art gallery sits next to the imposing Rudana Museum. Founded in 1974, the gallery houses a collection of over 8,000 pieces, which is very substantial. Works continues to be collected and showcased, and the popularity of the gallery has increased with time. Set in a beautifully sculpted landscape of 2.5 hectares, the sweet floral fragrance and exotic colour of the well-maintained gardens are a bonus and reflect the care and attention put into the masterpieces housed within the gallery. The different areas of the gallery present different genres of fine art - abstract and post-modern pieces contrast with traditional Balinese works and everything in between. The centre runs workshops, competitions and activities to promote the cause and encourage people to accept art into their lives, learn about it and even create some themselves. Its goal is to be known as the epicentre of artistic inspiration in the region.
