Villa Ada incontra il mondo

“Villa Ada incontra il mondo” is the multi-ethnic festival in Rome, where Villa Ada comes from the name of one of the most popular and biggest park in Rome and “incontra il mondo” means “ meets the world” to accentuate the nature of the event.

It takes place in a peninsula inside the artificial lake of the park, in a controlled and protected environment from the end of June to the middle of August.
The artists invited to play are from any part of the world and play different genres of music, with a focus on folk, pop and world music. But there are not only concerts available here: also workshops and summer camps for kids, the possibility to eat organic food sourced locally and an area dedicated to arts, relax and fun.

In 2016 “Villa Ada incontra il mondo” reached its 23rd anniversary, and it was followed in the same location at the end of August by Rome Fringe Festival, a theater marathon scheduling 8 shows per day in its program, starting from 7:30pm. Any kind of theather you can imagine is performed here, from stand up comedy to puppet shows to dramas.
To get to Villa Ada, the closest metro station is “Libia”, about 20 minutes away by feet, or if you want to get even closer there are plenty of buses from Termini and Tiburtina railway stations.
