If there is marine life and if there are humans going close to it, you need an interpreted interaction between the two. Visitors need to understand the flora and fauna of the region. They need guidance to see and understand the region. TerengganuThe jetty leading to the visitor centre of the Marine Park is the perfect place to watch the sunset. It is close to this that snorkelling is done. A walk around the visitor centre takes you through the marine life that is found in the Redang Island Archipelago that comprises of nine islands and spreads across two nautical miles. It tells the story of seven siblings who came from Indonesia and settled over some of these islands. In 1970s the government of TerengganuTerengganu built new houses for them but a cemetery belonging to this original family still stands on one of the islands called water village. Besides snorkelling and diving, park provides facilities for picnics, bird watching, fishing, trekking, wildlife tours and photography both on the islands and the sea.
