Breathtaking world class concert theatre
Talk of the town: The first two architects commissioned to build the Teatro Colón died before they could finish it, one murdered after a love affair turned sour.
As one of the city's key architectural landmarks, and you can take a guided tour (daily: 9am - 5pm), but better yet, get yourself a ticket to see a show in the 3,000-seat auditorium with a programme of concerts from the likes of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra to operas such as Händel's Rinaldo.
