Sledding in Korketrekkeren

A high-speed winter adventure
Word to the wise: Korketrekkeren is seriously fast so may not be suitable for small children. There are much gentler runs in many of Oslo's parks.

Even winter sports novices can experience a high-speed snowy adventure by riding the Korketrekkeren toboggan run. The run - which descends over 255 metres through the beautiful scenery of Holmenkollen - starts by Frognerseteren Metro station and ends at Midstuen. At full speed it takes around eight minutes - and when you're finished you can just take the metro back to Frognerseteren to get that adrenaline rush all over again.
The run itself is free so you can ride all day if you wish, but you'll need to rent a sled – you can rent a traditional wooden one for NOK 100 from the shop next to Frognerseteren restaurant.
