Located in the old town of Belgrade, Skadarlija is a centre of attraction for locals, as well as tourists. The vintage street of Skadarlija is lined with some of the most happening restaurants, cafes and art galleries. In early 19th century, Skadarlija was a hangout pace for writers, poets and artists who worked at nearby theatres and cinemas. The area slowly transformed into a Bohemian Quarter with hip dining restaurants and antique shops. The cobblestoned streets give an old world charm. The Sebilj fountain is definitely a highlight of the area. Take a stroll around Skadarlija, and check out the Serbian bohemian vibes; you will spot many amateur musicians and folk singers playing on the street. It is fun to watch a street folk dance performed by artists dressed in traditional costumes. Enjoy a typical Serbian cuisine of Roštilj (grilled meat), and wash it down with local beer Pivo at one of the well known restaurants. Tri šešira, Dva jelena, Dva bela goluba, Velika Skadarlija, and Zlatni bokal are some of the restaurants worth trying for local cuisine. This is where the action is, an evening at Skadarlija will get you in true Serbian spirit,Refrain from posting comments that are obscene, defamatory or inflammatory, and do not indulge in personal attacks, name calling or inciting hatred against any community.
