Screamfest

It wouldn’t be a list of festivals in Calgary without including the ever popular Screamfest that happens during the month of October. It is known as Canada’s largest and scariest attraction featuring haunted houses, rides, and truly terrifying games. To understand just how scary this festival is, know that the festival is not meant for children, in fact it is designed to scare adults only. Some of the haunted houses you may experience include the clown house where all of your childhood nightmares will come true. There are also buried alive house and alien houses. Entertainment wise Screamfest delivers, if you are looking to be scared with a psychopath illusionist, death magic, and carnival games that more often than not involve scary clowns and even scarier dolls. There are zombies roaming the grounds, a total of eight haunted houses, food and drink on site, and hours that operate until midnight, makes this one of the greatest, yet scariest festivals in all of Canada.
