If you are visiting Winnipeg and happen to have your children in tow, there is no better place to take them than the Winnipeg’s International Children’s Festival. For 4 days in June this festival kicks off with unique musical performances, acrobatic displays, sing alongs, circus tricks, games, crafts and more. Kids will love playing at the Fossil Discovery Centre where they can send tie digging for fossils or even reconstructing them. For the more ambitious kids head over to one of the interactive trapeze or circus workshops. Face painting, play zones, craft stations, photo booths and more await families here. Tickets are reasonably priced starting at just 9 dollars with any child under the age of 2 getting in free. For parents, make sure you get a babysitter for the after hours portion of the festival where live bands take the stage and an all you can eat gourmet hot dog buffet comes with the price of your ticket. The best part about this festival; you are supporting the Winnipeg International Children's Festival's community programming initiative where all funds raised go towards making play inclusive and accessible to all.
